Job Description

Grace is seeking a Senior Director – Finance Digital Transformation to join our Corporate Finance team reporting to the Chief Financial Officer located in Columbia, MD. This individual will be responsible for leading transformation programs, planning and sequencing finance transformation strategies, setting finance’s technology strategy and roadmap, evaluating the functions strategy, scope and design and leading organizational change initiatives. 

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the financial digital transformation roadmap in alignment with our overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Manage the finance project portfolio, ensuring projects and programs contribute to strategic finance objectives and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors, key stakeholders, business owners and peers on the Finance Leadership Team.
  • Thought leader in finance operational process and systems, consistently delivering performance improvements.
  • Influence operational teams to embrace and succeed in adopting new processes.
  • Manage the team in developing business requirements, process maps and future state processes and controls. 
  • Use digital workflows and tools and harness the power of robotic process automation, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
  • Lead the financial systems group that is responsible for the accounting, forecasting and reporting systems and their respective processes, policies, procedures and maintenance.
  • Directly supervise a team in based Columbia, MD headquarters
  • Lead implementation and delivery of financial system training presentations and materials for employees and new hires
  • Drive the adoption of SAP’s analytics cloud platform throughout the finance/commercial organization including management oversight of multiple project development teams.
  • Coordinate with the Company’s project management office for the future SAP S/4 HANA transformation project.
  • Create Global learning and development opportunities, where the employee will identify opportunities and propose solutions on the automation of non-value-add processes and align with technical experts on IT solutions for improvement projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 20+ years of relevant experience in large multinational manufacturing corporation - progressing in finance/accounting and working in a matrixed environment
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in fintech, with a focus on financial transformation strategy and finance process improvements
  • SAP and related systems (BPC, SAC, etc.).
  • Proven track record of leading successful finance transformation initiatives and driving cross functional collaboration.
  • In-depth expertise and understanding of finance operations and technologies, AND emerging tech.
  • Extensive experience in project management, overseeing large-scale, complex cross-functional programs.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate/present issues and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, excellent business acumen
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be highly organized, detail oriented, able to multitask, prioritize, and respond when sense of urgency is present
  • Team oriented and capable of collaborating across multiple functions within the organization.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a passion for learning and keeping abreast of industry trends and innovations.
