Job Description

 

A key support role for the APAC Logistics team, manage the collaboration between the logistics organization and cross-functional business leaders to develop and execute the Grace integrated business management strategy while identifying continuous improvement opportunities and supply chain excellence initiatives for APAC.

Responsibilities

 

Operations

  • Implement and guide the region via developed processes, and raise revisions as necessary to import and export management procedures in accordance with related local regulations in Asia Pacific, Grace corporate policy, and industry best practices
  • Assist in GRACE compliance audits - internal and external
  • Support GRACE affiliate companies to streamline import and export operations while maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Key lead for Logistics Cost reconciliation and reporting for APAC

 

Networking

  • Act as business unit point of contact for Customer Service teams and all shipping locations for import and export assistance
  • Manage the relationships for all external service providers in APAC

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Support supply chain projects to address performance issues identified through the CAPA process.
  • Manages the corrective and preventative action (CAPA) process to identify order fulfillment gaps.
  • Support the design and set-up proper RFP processes for the sites in APAC to implement.

Preferred Competencies

 

  • Knowledge in SAP ERP, SAP Business Warehouse, Microsoft Office, Adobe acrobat
  • LEAN or Six-sigma methodologies trained preferred
  • Detail oriented, ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical ability and ability to see the big picture with detailed analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills to manage relationships between all levels across business units as well as externally
  • Good written and oral communication skills including both oral and written fluency in English
  • To work and develop continuous improvement plans with minimum supervision
  • Ability to run reports in SAP for Cost Reconciliation

Required Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any business-related course
  • 5 years industry experience in handling logistics operations in Chemical Industry
