Job Description

The position is responsible to align technical services strategies with the business goals.  Partnering with commercial team in identifying growth opportunities and develop into new market.  In addition create differentiation through technical service initiatives. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the TCS team.
  • Manage the TCS lab facilities and ensure 100% compliance to corporate EHS standards.
  • Regularly interface with customers. Support customer trials and organize technical seminars.
  • Initiate and support value selling activities.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales and relevant cross functional team to achieve growth objectives. 
  • Train sales team, other TCS members and distributor sales force.
  • Interact with Global TCS members
  • Participate in regional trade shows.  Monitor competition activities, emergence of new technologies and relevant environment legislations that could potentially affect the company strategic objective.

Required Experience

  • Master degree in Science or related Engineering with specialization in Industrial Coatings / Colloidal silica related application technology.  Application/formulating knowledge in one or more end user segments will be a major advantage.
  • Prior experience in leading technical service team and managing laboratory.
  • Possess knowledge of English and Chinese. Excellent communication and presentation skills are critical success factors. 
  • Willing to travel within the region averaging 25% with peak to 40%
