Grace is seeking a Sales Manager to join our Polyolefin and Chemical Catalysts Sales team! This role reports to Sales Director, China and will be based in Beijing or Shanghai.
Job Overview :
The Sales Manager will manage the UNIPOL® PP catalyst sales in China. Total sales revenue will be around $40M each year.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for UNIPOL ® PP catalyst sales in China.
- Own Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives and drive revenue to meet/exceed forecast.
- Manage the distributors and channel to better serve customers and achieve Grace sales objective.
- In conjunction with marketing, develop appropriate roll-out strategies for new products and develop and implement competitive strategies.
- Partner with marketing to benchmark products, pricing and service levels of the competition; and provide any customer supplied industry trends and competitive information to Marketing.
- Interface with Order Fulfillment, Customer Service and Logistics to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Further use, development of Grace sales tools such as Salesforce.com, account planning, value selling, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline from an accredited university or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters/MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive sales experience in chemical industry
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Proven sales methodology and process skills for complex sales situations
- Solid knowledge of and experience in formal sales training (i.e. Sandler Sales Approach, Customer-Centric Selling, Strategic Selling, and/or Value Selling)
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience in utilizing sales automation tools such as Salesforce.com
- Ability to speak and write fluently in English and Mandarin
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of UNIPOL® PP technology or other polymer licensing technologies is highly desirable
- Skilled in building customer relationships and incorporating “the voice of the customer” into sales
- A strong motivator with high energy and drive, accompanied by clear, purposeful and frequent communications with internal and customers
- An excellent “closer”, able to determine the decision-critical issues and act effectively to resolve them
- A person with focus on results and the ability to assess quickly, identify issues and go to the heart of the problem
- A persuasive and constructive team player, able to build consensus
