Responsibilities
- Active sales responsibility for the assigned medium/small accounts (usual accountability from $3 up to $10M USD) . Generates revenue by active selling, soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
- Understand products thoroughly, deep enough to quickly and clearly explain the functionality without an in-person demo to lean on. Support New Product Introductions
- Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.
- Winning back inactive or dormant accounts, report leads back to SF and provide regular updates
- Engage with interested prospects and build with prospect trusted relationships.
- Closes inquiries for existing accounts or prospects by answering telephone and e-mail inquiries and verifying and entering information without timely delay into Grace`s leading IT system SFDC. Report back to the system to build strong opportunity pipeline
- Attain monthly sales targets and be accountable to yearly sales goals for the number of small and medium deals
- Track and report data using SF software to keep track of everything especially opportunities in the system.
- Conduct telephone marketing & sales with customers including technical promotion, commercial conditions like price setting, payment terms, INCOTERMS. Achieve agreed number of call reports and document follow-up of marketing campaigns as appointed
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.
- Work in close collaboration with Direct Sales, Channel Management, TSC, PM, marketing organization on campaigns and assigned leads.
- Provide forecast of revenue/volume/ reports from meetings for each account utilising company IT reporting systems
- Work closely with other departments to ensures appropriate delivery of products, services and information.
Required Qualifications
- At least min 2 – 3 year experience in sales/customer service/technical department preferred in a technical B2B environment, ideally chemical industry
- Cooperative mindset with peers and other stakeholders in the organization, especially with marketing and other sales managers
- Proficiency in following sales by using right social selling media (Linkedin/SalesForce etc.)
- Experience in following up marketing campaigns
- Fluent in English language
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry, engineering or related field.
- Strong Networking and Relationship-building skills – internal and external
- Skilled in commercial process - understands value adding sales of specialty chemicals
- Results-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Prospecting and Closing skills
- Proven ability to gain and maintain lasting customer relationships
- Proven ability to understand and sell a technical product portfolio and the benefits they provide to customers
