Job Description

The Tax Supervisor is responsible for supporting the tax planning reporting and compliance operations as well as internal control activities performed in Manila are delivered based on identified metrics.  Responsible for the preparation and/or review of tax work papers, filings, and reporting activities that support the overall tax compliance and reporting obligations.  In addition, the Tax Supervisor will be responsible for the first level of review on processes prior to delivery to the corporate tax team to ensure work products are complete, accurate, and timely processed. This position is expected to be a strong partner with the global corporate tax, and external auditors to support the business needs.

Detailed Responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for the overhead rebilling process both in the US and Germany
  • Establish and maintain the annual accruals for both direct and indirect tax
  • Maintain and update the Global Tax Calendar
  • Assist in the implementation of the tax technology tools supporting the global tax function
  • Lead the tax controversy support 
  • Participate in continuous improvements to drive efficiencies, automation and accuracy in the function
  • Provide timely and accurate tax calculations and reporting for both quarterly provision and annual tax return compliance processes
  • Provide audit support to tax team by way of account reconciliation and reporting needs
  • Review of supporting documentation for tax provision calculation, head office overhead rebills, and transfer pricing adjustments (TPA)
  • Manage stakeholders and provide permanent solutions for all issue escalations
  • Assist in establishing goals for the department and staff together with the Tax GPO
  • Manage or participate on special projects as needed


Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accountancy, CPA preferred

Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes

  • 5-8 years’ experience in a corporate tax department in a global shared service setup or public accounting 
  • Working knowledge of tax accounting, federal, state, local, and international tax matters
  • Excellent leadership, organizational verbal and written communication
  • Must possess strong analytical skills, be highly organized, detail oriented, and prioritize projects as needed 
  • Possess the ability to work independently and exercise own judgment 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel 
  • Must be able to challenge process deficiencies and recommend improvements 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Dynamic, flexible, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to engage and work with individuals across functional teams within the organization
