Job Description

The Lead, Corporate Analysis & Reporting and Finance Systems (CARFS) supports global finance organizations by owning and delivering corporate analysis and reporting, technical accounting, compliance testing, and finance systems activities that are transitioned to or executed within GBS Manila

This role is accountable for preparing and reviewing accurate, timely, and audit‑ready financial schedules, reconciliations, analytics, and regulatory filings, while maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring the integrity of financial data

In addition to core accounting responsibilities, approximately 20% of the role focuses on Finance Systems support.The Lead, CFRS works closely with the Finance Systems Senior Accountant and serves as the primary functional accounting partner for finance systems In this capacity, the role ensures that system configurations, master data, workflows, BlackLine administration, monthly close processes, and reporting outputs align with established accounting policies, business requirements, and internal control standards

Responsibilities (1 of 3)

Blackline

  • Review complex balance sheet accounts through Blackline, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

Financial Reporting Analysis & Footnotes Review

  • Analyze and support internal and external financial reporting, including:
    • Consolidated Statement of Comprehensive Income
    • Consolidated Statement of Equity
  • Review of financial statement footnotes, including but not limited to:
    • Inventories
    • Debt
    • Fair Value Measurement and Risk Disclosures
    • Other Balance Sheet Accounts
    • Restructuring and Repositioning Expenses
    • Other Comprehensive Income (Loss)
  • Support MD&A analysis, with a focus on interest and financing expense trends.

Responsibilities (2 of 3)

Cash Flow Analysis and Review

  • Review and analysis of cash flow related schedules, including:
    • DV reserves reporting
    • Restructuring and severance payments
    • Debt cash flow schedules
    • Reorganization or special reporting (e.g., Chapter 11)
    • Perform cash movements analysis in coordination with Treasury and FP&A.

Reporting Analytics and Variance Analysis

  • Perform analytics and review materials for Regional Controllers and Corporate Accounting Leadership review (VP, Controller, GPO – GA and FS, Business Segment Controller), including:
    • Other Balance Sheet Accounts reporting
    • Worldwide inventory reporting
  • Provide clear variance analysis, trend explanations, and supporting commentary for management meetings.

Government & Regulatory Reporting

  • Facilitate preparation and timely submission of required government and regulatory reports, including:
    • Producer Price Index (PPI)
    • BE 577
    • Quarterly Financial Report (QFR)
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness for regulatory filings.

Responsibilities (3 of 3)

Audit Point of Contact (POC)

  • Act as a key accounting contact supporting external audit requirements.
  • Prepare and review audit schedules, supporting documentation, and walkthrough materials.
  • Respond to audit inquiries and support resolution of findings and recommendations.

Finance Systems & Monthly Close Support

  • Support finance systems activities critical to the monthly close, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and system stability.
  • Assist with master data maintenance, system configurations, and integrations across SAP FICO, ECCS, BPC, BW, and Blackline.
  • Serve as a finance systems point of contact for close coordination, issue tracking, and process documentation.Support system issue troubleshooting in partnership with IT and Shared Services.
  • Assist with system enhancements, controls, and documentation related to close and reporting processes.

Ad Hoc & Administrative Support

  • Assist in monitoring and accounting for Grace Foundation–related transactions assigned to GBS Manila.
  • Perform other ad hoc and administrative reports or activities as assigned by the General Accounting Manager from time to time.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
  • 5-10 years experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or external reporting within a global environment.
  • Hands on experience with SAP (FICO, BW, BPC) and Blackline
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and month end close processes
