Job Description
The MDM Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Master Data Management team. This position works closely with the Global IT Director Master data Maintenance and with the MDM Global Process Owners in the Customer, FICO, Vendor and Material Master data area.
Key Responsibilities
- Assumes ownership and responsibility for data accuracy of all SAP Customer Master, Vendor Master, Material Master including Bill of Materials and Routings, customer/material pricing.
- Ensures that Master Data Management key performance indicators (KPIs) are attained.
- Develops and maintains operations management reports and scorecards to ensure data integrity.
- Develops and implements improved and streamlined procedures in workstreams such as Accounts Payable, Source to Pay HelpDesk, Procurement and Cost Accounting
- Provides guidance and development opportunities for employees, ensuring regular coaching and mentoring in support of staff development and career growth.
- Support implementation teams for changes on business processes/structures and system rules.
- Support accurate and complete data loading during integration phase of acquired companies.
- Support and execute revised and recommended processes and procedures to achieve continuous improvement.
- Define/support master data quality standards and governance model for MDM.
- Works closely with the MDM global process owner (GPO), and GBS operation manager in defining strategic plans for the team, and the MDM organization.
Skills and Abilities
- 7+ years’ experience related to SAP master data management – in the areas of Customer, Vendor, FICO (Bank, Cost Center, Profit Center, and GL) and Pricing Data. Knowledge in Material Master Data (including BOM, routing/recipe & DMC maintenance), preferred.
- 3+ years relevant people management/leadership experience.
- Experience in Shared Services / Business Process Outsourcing industry, preferably with multinationals and manufacturing company.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills relating to customer service and customer relations.
- Background and exposure in master data entities in SAP ECC, particularly in MM, FICO, SD, PP modules.
- Experience in ticketing system (CW, Service now), a plus.
- Experience in SAP Master Data Governance & SAP Ariba preferred but not required.
- Process knowledge in the areas of Supply Chain, Material Management, and FICO.
- Proficient in MS applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong communication and presentation skills,
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Excel.
- Relevant experience in SAP is a must. With working knowledge in Ariba preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree on engineering, administration, or other related courses.
- Willing to work on shifting schedule
