Job Description
The Domain Leader is pivotal in fostering a culture of global design and process discipline. This role requires both technical expertise in vendor and FICO data and processes, master data management and governance, as well as strong influencing and partnering skills. The Domain Leader, Vendor and FICO will support the designated process owner and executive data council in developing and implementing a robust data integrity and governance structure, encompassing everything from data dictionaries and standards to policies, procedures, and analytical tools.
Responsibilities (1 of 2)
- Develop, implement, and sustain Data Governance and Integrity Design, integrating policies, processes, and work instructions across functions and domains to drive global process standardization.
- Identify and implement best practices for managing critical data, including access control, standard usage, and proactive enforcement of rules.
- Provide subject matter expertise and apply methodologies like AGILE to oversee the development and implementation of governance tools (e.g., Information Steward, MDG) and integration with systems like ECC/HANA SAP, SalesForce, and Taxware.
- Own project success, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to deadlines, while proactively managing risks and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
- Identify and manage metrics to monitor progress and ensure process discipline and data management.
- Provide critical thinking and analytical support to accelerate data cleansing efforts and tool implementation, facilitating quick and effective decision-making.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing and executing multi-year roadmaps that expand governance scope, improve processes, and implement new tools and technologies.
- Align data governance and integrity initiatives with company-wide metrics and objectives, educating stakeholders on their importance.
- Integrate and maximize the use of the GPOs, Master Data Management (MDM) team and other resources for cohesive data management
- Provide technical expertise in developing and managing master data governance rules.
- Guide stakeholders in navigating and using data governance tools.
- Partner with process owners to gather and document requirements, translating them into user stories or business requirements.
Responsibilities (2 of 2)
- Collaborate with consulting teams to ensure systems are designed according to specifications and thoroughly tested.
- Lead testing across MDG and integrated applications.
- Maintain documentation related to SAP vendor and FICO master data for the Supply Chain organization (data dictionary, business rules, etc.).
- Work with stakeholders to document, review, and establish new or revised data governance policies and standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements related to master data setup, maintenance, and retirement.
- Recommend and define business rules for data conversions, MDG, and cross-references.
- Adopt development practices focused on quality, value, and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in Master Data Management and Data Governance.
- 10+ years of experience with SAP ECC or S4/HANA and vendor and FICO master data.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on teamwork in a dynamic environment.
- Proven leadership, motivational, and influencing abilities in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP MDG and SAP Information Steward implementations.
- Familiarity with agile concepts, including sprints and scrums.
