Job Description
Process Control Engineer will be reporting to the Business Technology Director of the Licensing & Services Business, this role manages and has responsibility for meeting project deliverables for installation and services of UNIPOL UNIPPAC® Process Control Software, and REFLECTN™ Virtual Plant Simulator. Additionally, the role has responsibility for technical sales which will supplement the sales channel by providing technical depth and expertise needed to drive software sales. The role includes direct contact with external customers and internal clients within Grace which include sales managers, licensing project managers, R&D, and manufacturing technology managers.
Responsibilities
- Leads the preparation and installation, in close collaboration with Grace Systems Engineers, of the UNIPOL UNIPPAC® Process Control Software, and REFLECTN™ Virtual Plant Simulator.
- Provides post-installation services such as software improvements, training, assessment of utilization rates, and general troubleshooting,
- Manages resources aimed at meeting project delivery deadlines. This involves working with the Licensing Project Manager, the Manufacturing Technology Manager and the Systems Engineer,
- Acts as a customer facing troubleshooting and technical expert to assist customers in problem resolution.
- Supports the sales team on the sales process with prospective clients; provides technical disclosures and answers technical questions in sales meetings,
- Collaborates with members of the Process Automation Team to improve the delivery work process and documentation,
Required Qualifications
- BS Chemical Engineering (or related engineering field) with MS Engineering highly desirable,
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the process control field,
- 1-2 years of experience in Advanced Process Control (APC) delivery and support to clients is strongly desired.
- Prior experience in UNIPOL® Polypropylene and/or UNIPOL™ Polyethylene technology is strongly desired.
- Prior experience in working across regions for a global company is a plus
- Ability to travel 20-40% mainly in India, Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia and Middle East.

- Strong technical skills to solve customer problems/issues.
- Proficient in reading Fortran code or similar programming languages and ability to develop small improvements to solve customers’ issues,
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to present technical content to customers effectively,
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability and desire to learn.
- Action oriented, with the desire to take on tough challenges with a sense of urgency
- Good business acumen to understand how customers’ problems can translate into value for Grace,
- Focused on complying with all internal and safety external regulations,
