Job Description
We are in search of a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler who will report to our Maintenance Planning/Scheduling Lead in our Lake Charles plant. This person will be accountable for safe effective planning and scheduling of Routine Maintenance work requests.
Responsibilities
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures to include: safe work practices, required job time estimates by trade and enter into SAP, required parts are available, required special tools and equipment are available, required permits, specific safety procedures related to required activities (LOTO, Confined Space, Line Break, Hot Work, etc.)
- Work with suppliers to ensure that the plant is consistently receiving quality goods and services at the lowest possible cost
- Procure parts and materials for planned work
- Accountable for tracking ordered parts to ensure on-time completion of Job Planning
- Arrange for outside contract services as required
- Ensure that contractors have COI and required credentials to perform work
- Front line customer contact for job planning and asset availability
- Interface with Maintenance (Maintenance Engineers, Reliability Engineers and Supervision & Craftsman) for job plan reviews as required
- Interface with Operations Group (Ops Lead, Ops Planners and Production Engineers) for task priorities
- Responsible for planned work compliance with current standards and specifications and for the quality and accuracy of work plans
- Serve as SME to provide technical support for job plans
- Work with trades and review job histories for continuous improvement of job plans
- Develop executable daily/weekly/monthly/yearly schedules from planned backlog
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of Weekly Schedules
- Coordinate with peers to manage workload requirements and priorities and schedule multiple trade job plans
- Validate weekly work schedules with maintenance and operations
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a petro-chemical manufacturing plant (maintenance planning or supervisory experience preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications
BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
