Job Description

We are in search of a Engineering Project Manager who will report to our Capital Projects Team Lead at our Lake Charles plant. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, executing, and managing the site capital projects in order to achieve the business objectives.  

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of Project Stage Gate implementation using the Grace Project Methodology (GPM) process.
  • Ensure accurate scopes of work are completed for all engineering, procurement and construction packages throughout the project life cycle.
  • Effective project management to ensure that projects are delivered within cost, schedule and quality requirements.
  • Perform cost management as per the GPM Process/ Project Control Department requirements and ensure cost flow forecasting is within limits.
  • Ensure Project Controls requirements are implemented and managed throughout the project.
  • Development of Project Execution Plans (PEP), Construction Management Plans (CMP), Quality Management Plans (QMP), Risk Management Plans (RMP) and Engineering Management Plans (EMP).
  • Effective and efficient communication with all Stakeholders.
  • Participates in safety programs, PHA’s including HAZOP/ LOPA.
  • Management of the site’s Management of Change (MOCs) process.
  • Be a custodian of Environment, Health& Safety (EH&S) of the site.

Required Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or another engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of project engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment. In addition, will consider less years of experience for candidates who possess the aptitude to learn quickly and demonstrate alignment in the Grace values and competencies.  
  • Must have proven ability to execute all phases of project management (front end design, preliminary engineering, authorization, detail design, construction, commissioning, and start-up, close out).
