Engineering & Technical Manager

Job Description

Grace is hiring an Engineering & Technical Manager for our East Chicago, IN site who will report to the Plant Manager. This position will be responsible for the plant’s process engineering, maintenance and technical effectiveness.  Working in a site leadership capacity, plays a critical role in leading and driving business and operational objectives to include EHS, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Effectiveness. 

Required Skills

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for chemical plants; Aptitude for chemical plant equipment operations and troubleshooting
• Proficient in MS suite
• Ability to tailor communication/messaging to all staff 

Required Experience

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering
• 10 years of operations experience in the chemical industry including leadership/management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and managing engineers
• Leading teams in a unionized environment
