Job Description

We’re hiring another Game Changer – someone who can deliver great ideas to help drive our Integrated Supply Chain transformation and who values teamwork, performance, integrity, speed and innovation.  As a Supply Planning Deployment Leader you’ll be responsible for the following:


  • Develop project milestones and deliverables to execute the RFP through implementation of a Supply Planning System enabling strategic, tactical, scheduling and materials management across all Grace businesses while ensuring alignment of system requirements to future-state process design
  • Develop and manage project plan based goals and objectives identified. Measure performance utilizing appropriate tools and techniques and track progress via project plan. Report results on a frequent basis as identified through Grace Integrated Business Management (GIBM) Cadence
  • Collaborate with Supply Leader on processes as well as Supply Planning team to leverage current process development progress and enhance processes through the application of advanced supply planning capabilities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to planning stakeholders and the project team on planning functions within the GIBM framework, including, but not limited to process definition, planning strategy, and tool design thereby ensuring the planning strategies transition across functions (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Scheduling, Materials Management, and Execution) for the process to stay integrated.
  • Support the transformational strategy and alignment between GIBM initiative and Global Supply Chain’s execution-focused Integrated Planning & Control (IPC) program by capturing the key requirements of Grace end-to-end planning, including business strategy, supply chain capabilities, and enterprise architecture/system considerations.
  • Ensure global, regional and other considerations are understood and incorporated in design and structure of the process.
  • Establish and maintain liaison with all stakeholders.
  • Progress detailed mapping of existing processes as well as new processes to support blueprinting of planning systems and align configuration specifications to future-state processes
  • Develop and execute necessary training to support tool implementation
  • Deliver project results on time, within budget and scope. Manage changes to scope, schedule or costs with supervisor approval.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Facilitate and troubleshoot problems throughout configuration, testing, go-live, and post go-live phases.  Coordinate resolution of issues with IT and system provider.
  • Utilize Change Management toolkit to develop and incorporate Change Management plans into project implementation.
Required Skills
  • Experienced with leading a team of business process and technical resources to complete assigned objectives in a timely and efficient manner. Understanding of end-to-end cross-functional interactions and interdependencies as it relates to the planning, sourcing, production, and distribution of materials across Grace’s global supply chain
  • Capable of utilizing the principles of project management to achieve results
  • Strong demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, system providers at all levels, including Executive leadership
  • Demonstrated experience leading a global system implementation with effective change management
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including development of effective presentations
  • Solid organizational and time management skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking, and budgeting disciplines to meet project goals
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Capable to identify and solve complex process and operational business challenges and capable of thinking strategically and to problem solve independently
  • Confident in ability to lead change management initiative
Required Experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in planning with experience in strategic tactical, scheduling and execution preferred.
  • Previous experience with implementation of a Supply Planning System required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, influence, and drive change in a matrixed organization
  • Proven experience leading a project or project team and strong financial acumen
  • Large Scale Transformation Experience
  • B.S./M.S. degree in Supply Chain required                                                           
  • Advanced technical training and/or manufacturing operations experience preferred
  • APICS Certification (CSCP) preferred
