Job Description

 

Grace is seeking a Supply Chain Data Analytics Manager to join our Projects & Analytics team. The role reports to the Supply Chain Projects & Analytics Leader and may be located out of our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD or at our plant sites in Pasadena, TX, Baton Rouge, LA, or Chicago, IL. 


We are looking for an Analytics Manager to join our team of data analysts and manage the processes and people responsible for data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis. The ideal candidate will see solutions in large data sets and have the knowledge and experience to convert ideas into strategic opportunities for our company. They will use advanced data modeling, predictive modeling, and analytical techniques to interpret key findings from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes.   
 

Responsibilities

 

  • Defines team charter and ensures alignment of the analytics team focus with strategic objectives.
  • Manages the performance of the supply chain analytics team. 
  • Defines team structure and team governance.
  • Recruits additional team members as need and supports their career development and progression.
  • Defines the process of identifying and prioritizing analytics initiatives.  
  • Establishes ongoing collaboration and engagement with Supply Chain leaders to ensure successful adoption and alignment to business needs. 
  • Works with Supply Chain and Business leaders to build a framework for tracking usage of analytics solutions and capturing benefits and/or ROI.
  • Support projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.
  • Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the company. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in data mining, analytics, data modeling, and utilizing data visualization tools in a supply chain or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions
  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people, and projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and delegation skills

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience leading a team
  • Additional supply chain education, training and/or certification through online courses and/or professional organizations
  • Additional analytics education, training and/or certification through online courses and/or professional organizations
