Job Description
Grace is seeking an enthusiastic, results-driven Sr Talent Acquisition Specialist to help drive growth and be a part of a dynamic global recruiting team. Our Talent Acquisition team supports our Talent Management COE and builds strategies to source, attract, select, and secure industry leading talent to drive our mission forward and foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
This position is responsible for managing the full cycle recruiting process, from sourcing and attracting candidates to onboarding new hires at our manufacturing plants, nationwide. The specialist will partner with human resources business partners along with managers across the organization leading recruitment strategy meetings to uncover business needs and discuss both near-term and long-term recruiting plans. The specialist requires knowledge of interviewing techniques, company functions and organizational structure, recruiting policies and procedures, and federal and state laws applicable to employment practices. In this role, you will ensure hiring manager and candidate satisfaction throughout the recruitment process.
The Sr Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the Manager, Talent Acquisition. Up to 5% of travel is expected for this position. This role is based in our Columbia, MD headquarters. This role is currently Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Columbia office, with occasion travel.
Responsibilities
- Identify, attract, and recruit experienced professionals for roles in chemical manufacturing, varied business lines. Manage sourcing strategy, candidate development and execution of full lifecycle recruitment.
- Consult and partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and to develop and implement recruitment strategies that align with and meet key business priorities and talent strategies. Recommend recruitment strategies and best practices based on knowledge and/or experience.
- Actively manage candidate development and experience, as well as actively participate in the sourcing, interview, and selection process.
- Lead the preparation of offers and negotiations with candidates.
- Create and drive talent strategies that enhance Grace’s ability to attract and retain a diverse and engaged workforce to meet current and future business needs.
- Stay informed of industry trends, market intelligence, and innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete in a competitive market for talent.
- Research, identify and assist the business with selecting appropriate search firms (as needed) and then manage ongoing relationships and results.
- Identify opportunities and work to improve the quality and efficiency of the recruitment process and practices.
- Participate in recruiting and talent management related events and additional HR projects/initiatives.
- Ensure all requisition/candidate activity data is captured in the applicant tracking system.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree and 5+ years of talent acquisition experience in a Plant Manufacturing environment. 10+ years in talent acquisition or recruitment overall.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the manufacturing industry and corporate staffing.
- Proven ability to staff manufacturing, engineers to scientist type roles throughout the organization.
- Proficiency with an applicant tracking system (ATS) such as Success Factors or similar.
- Experience utilizing multiple sourcing tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, social media, networking, referrals, as well as managing external vendors.
- Strong consultative relationship building skills and ability to effectively interact and influence at all levels within the organization.
- Strong drive for results and independent initiative, must be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, inclusive, and professional environment, managing sensitive /confidential information appropriately.
