Job Description

The Manufacturing Analyst will be accountable for supporting the development, installation, and maintenance of improved global systems for measuring, tracking, and publishing the manufacturing metrics that drive opportunities for continuous improvement and ensuring defined targets and deviations are visible.  The Manufacturing Analyst will also support the other functions in the Center of Excellence as requested by the Director, Manufacturing Data and Analytics.  

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for gathering, interpreting, and reporting manufacturing data for the units and sites within the region
  • Drive standardization of data approach within the region, aligned with standards and definitions established through the Center of Excellence
  • Find opportunities to automate data transfer between manufacturing systems to reduce manual effort by site personnel
  • Develop reports, scorecards, and analysis independently, or with assistance by our Digital Operations Center in Chennai, India, as needed to drive data-driven business decisions
  • Assist the Data and Analytics group in development of new metrics to be rolled out and train key personnel on these definitions
  • Support and train manufacturing unit personnel and management in the use of current and future manufacturing data systems (TeamGuru, DataPARC, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc.)
  • Enhance connectivity between the Center of Excellence, the region, and each the manufacturing sites.
  • Interface with Productivity Leader, Americas South and Operations Vice President, Americas South, to align on priorities and assist in project tracking and Operational Excellence initiatives as driven by the Center of Excellence
  • Identify and escalate opportunities to add value to the organization, even if not in direct purview of role

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in engineering, quality, or production management in a manufacturing environment
  • Highly organized with ability to manage time, resources, and people.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to drive alignment and decisions
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, analytics, and change management.
  • Ability to convert raw data into usable information.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to link complex information and concepts ideas into actionable ideas that create value for Grace.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to different levels/functions.
  • Detail oriented and capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to learn quickly, take direction, and work independently and to use creative, collaborative, and consultative approaches to resolve issues.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).  
  • Experience with SAP, TeamGuru, and SharePoint are a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to sites within region.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in key performance indicator development.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
