Job Description
The Senior Manager, Market Intelligence PCC leads cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights that inform business strategy. This role drives continuous improvement in market intelligence processes, translating polyolefin market trends into strategic implications for Grace’s catalyst products. Key responsibilities include developing marketing content for leadership decision-making, managing external data sources, and partnering with Marketing and R&D to track new product KPIs such as ROI, product velocity, and vitality revenue. Strong analytical skills and market expertise are essential to navigate complex data and deliver impactful insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver market intelligence and drive business initiatives across markets and technologies.
- Play a transformational role in developing and consuming market insights by integrating upstream and downstream polyolefin trends and translating them into actionable recommendations for Grace catalyst products.
- Develop, implement, and sustain continuous improvement of market intelligence inputs into business processes, ensuring insights are consistently optimized and aligned with evolving business needs.
- Develop and deliver marketing content and insights that are critical for business leadership, supporting monthly business operating reviews, annual operating plans (AOP), and long-range planning (LRP).
- Externally manage market research firms and consultants, overseeing partnerships and ensuring access to credible, actionable market data.
- Partner across functions (demand planning, sales, competitive intelligence, regional marketing, R&D) to triangulate business forecasts and support new product introductions.
- Manage leadership team stakeholders through regular engagement, facilitating quarterly PrISM portfolio reviews and strategic discussions.
- Serve as PriSM portfolio champion, developing and maintaining KPIs around return on research investment, product introduction velocity, vitality revenue, discounted cash flow models, and other relevant metrics.
- Serve as PrISM process coach, guiding new catalyst development project teams on different gate deliverables and representing the business unit at the corporate to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and maintain up-to-date knowledge of market research and data sources, evaluating their credibility and business utility.
- Champion data-driven decision-making and advocate for enterprise AI platforms to support business digitization initiatives.
Required Skills
- Experience in market research and intelligence gathering, and translating data into actionable insights.
- Experience in product development stage gate process and innovation portfolio management .
- Strong knowledge of upstream and downstream markets with respect to polyolefins.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, science, technology, or engineering fields.
- Minimum of 12 years of Polyolefin marketing and/or technology experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or MS degree
- B2B marketing experience in a polyolefin technology company.
- Experience with artificial intelligence or business intelligence tools (Power BI, Copilot, Salesforce, etc.).
