Job Description

Responsible for recommending and developing the Grace strategy for the Global Materials Management organization which includes optimizing the Production Planning / Detailed Scheduling, ensuring the best possible utilization of production resources and inventory levels.  Interfaces with Integrated Supply Chain Directors, Supply Leader, Plant Managers and Business Leaders globally ensuring effective and timely production planning, order scheduling and order confirmation, inventory management and material handling. 

  • Recommend design for Global Materials Management organization with expected benefits, Gain support and approval for proposal and execute implementation globally which includes management system and key metrics to track performance.
  • Develop recommendations focused on efficiencies / improvements on future organization for the future of Materials Management and Production Scheduling globally for Grace
  • Assist in development of Grace Integrated Business Management (Gibm) vision, goals and strategy to support business growth and improve customer performance for 300+ global customers.
  • Integrate with Supply Planning deployment leader to provide requirements for Supply planning tool
  • Collaborate and Communicate with Supply Leader, Gibm Program Leader and Gibm team to ensure linkage and continuity to make business decisions which maximize profitability and maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Coach and Mentor 5 direct reports and 4 team members. Lead function to meet/exceed goals of the material management organization and all internal/external customer as well as strongly contribute to overall company goals

Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent understanding of SAP-ECC, APO-PPDS, any other subsystems and Information Technology
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, influence and drive change in a matrixed organization
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience as a Supply chain leader within the industry
  • B.S. or M.S. degree required
