Job Description

 

We're hiring a Senior Analyst - Core IT Infrastructure & Cloud at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD with a hybrid schedule offering remote Tuesdays and Fridays and on campus Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

 

The Senior Analyst - Core IT Infrastructure & Cloud is responsible for implementing, configuring and maintaining the core foundational infrastructure services required by Grace to achieve its business objectives. This role will provide administration and support for Microsoft’s 365/Azure suite of services, Windows Server, cyber-security tools (PAM, patch management, configuration management, etc), amd Vmware (ESXi, Horizon View). Expertise in networking, directory services, virtualization, security and cloud architectures is desired. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Working with infrastructure architects, assess best data center (on-prem/cloud) and infrastructure components (network, server, storage, systems, security) to satisfy business requirements and adhere to Grace policies/standards.
  • Provide tier 2 support and basic policy administration for Microsoft’s 365/Azure services: Messaging, Teams, OneDrive, SSO, Directory Sync, DNS, etc.
  • Support ProofPoint anti-malware/anti-spam implementation.
  • Coordinate opportunity assessments and proofs-of-concept to assess the value of new and emerging technologies.
  • Deploy Hybrid Cloud solutions (Microsoft Azure / Google Cloud Platform) to provide seamless integration with existing on-premises solutions.
  • Perform systems administration, documenting, maintenance, monitoring and support of physical and virtual servers in a 24/7 enterprise production environment.
  • Perform infrastructure changes, performance tuning, backups, and migrations.
  • Participate in monthly weekend maintenance activity to apply system patches and upgrades.
  • Follow Grace’s SDLC project framework and change management processes.
  • Participate in the testing, execution, and run-book creation of disaster recovery plans in Azure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Occasional travel required, up to 10% possible.
  • Ability to coordinate activities with vendor support, remote team members and offshore resources.

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information systems or 10 years experience in IT support/systems administrator role.
  • Microsoft 365/Azure experience.
  • Working knowledge of OS security assessment tools and remediation processes.
  • Knowledge of network architectures and virtualization technologies.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
