Job Description

 

Grace is seeking a Sales Operations Manager – Systems & CRM Specialist to join the Refining Technologies Sales Enablement team. This role will support the ART (Advanced Refining Technologies) business and report to RT Sales Enablement Director located in Houston, TX. This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD or our Houston, TX downtown office. 

 

This high impact role works in close collaboration across multiple functions, including Sales, Marketing, Integrated Supply Chain, IT, and General Management to drive commercial excellence and lead improvement projects geared to deliver more efficient sales processes and robust analytics.

 

The Sales Operations Manager – Systems & CRM Specialist will have hands-on ownership of the ART Business Salesforce CRM system including day-to-day user adoption and training, system maintenance, testing, security, and implementation of changes. You will require pro-active leadership to manage improvement projects that drive digital commercial excellence supporting the sales team, including sales analytics, pipeline management, sales process optimization, KPI development, analytics, and monitoring. You can identify recurring process pain points as well as have a drive to solve problems and turn data into actionable insights. You take pride in your own work but are comfortable collaborating with a team of highly motivated individuals.

Responsibilities

 

  • Act as the application expert and primary source of institutional knowledge to support users of ART customer applications.
    • Ensure custom application functionality and product/customer/opportunity data integrity – including maintenance of key data tables and custom fields, as well as product costing datasets between ART systems.
  • Responsible for maintaining and advancing the ART Commercial Excellence roadmap and monitoring the progress on roadmap milestones.
  • Develop clear change management plans to ensure roadmap projects are on-time and on budget with high user adoption.
  • Fosters the spirit of continuous process improvement and identifies and drives process improvement that deliver better business performance, better analytics, and better insights.
    • Responsible for developing user stories and functional requirements, driving the definition of systems configuration to standardize, streamline and enhance the sales user’s experience.
    • Develop strategic solutions using Salesforce, SAP and SFDC Analytics tools to drive process improvements that result in positive impact to the business.
    • Manage relationship and prioritization of releases with Grace IT team, Chevron, and other third-party programmers to implement improvements/changes.
  • Conduct in-person and online workshops to educate users on the platform. Develop and administer CRM training to new sales personnel for seamless user adoption and utilization.
  • CRM data stewardship and work closely with teams to ensure customer data is structured appropriately for customer segmentation and automation.
  • Engage appropriate stakeholders at all levels of the organization and work cross functionally to deliver results.
  • Exemplary leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required.
  • Conform with all internal and external safety regulations pertaining to environmental protection and occupational & traffic safety according to the GRACE EHS system.

Required Qualifications

 

  • 4-year degree in a technical or business field.
  • Fluent in English spoken & written.
  • 7+ years in sales, sales support, order fulfilment, supply chain, or other relevant business experience.
  • 2+ years in Salesforce support.
  • Salesforce configuration experience and knowledge of objects, workflows, validation, and approval processes is desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce CRM Sales Cloud, Tableau Analytics (Einstein), WalkMe, familiarity with commercial processes and sales cycle milestones and related metrics.
  • Ability to travel. Frequency of travel is limited (1-3 times a year).
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and standards.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Previous experience in SAP Order Management and Pricing, BW and SAC preferred.
  • Proactive individual who takes ownership to resolve problems
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Performs effectively under pressure and in conditions of ambiguity with a sense of urgency & bias towards action.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills, including inter-cultural understanding.
