Job Description

Grace has implemented dataParc for process data analytics and are looking to implement this software at additional sites and also to further improve the spirit of continuous improvements. Grace is also on a journey of manufacturing digitalization and this role will be part of the critical digitalization effort. The architect will be a part of the Grace IT team and will work closely with the larger digitalization team, process control leaders and other members of the IT organization to deliver new capabilities and help improve existing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business, architecture and infrastructure team for solution definition, development and implementation. Ensure that solution being developed will satisfy business requirement.
  • Define and perform feature testing and educate business on new features of dataPARC.  
  • Design, configuration, deployment, validation, and support of dataPARC solutions. Also work with support team on the timely resolution of support requests. Own user security management process
  • Effective monitoring of dataPARC environment and identify areas of improvement.
  • Keep updated with new dataPARC innovations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate stakeholders to identify opportunities for optimizing and enhancing the software. Gather user feedback, analyze usage patterns, and propose enhancements or modifications to improve the system's functionality, usability, and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with process data historian (such as dataPARC, OSI-PI) best practices and ability to develop and implement technical solutions.
  • Able to quickly capture business requirements and translate in solutions using process data historian (such as dataPARC, OSI-PI) configurations. Need good understanding of general process data historian data model and capabilities.
  • Should have knowledge of SQL, VBA, and .NET
  • Must be skilled at troubleshooting Microsoft client/server software and network related issues.
  • Inquisitive personality with strong commitment to build career in the field of information technology. Track record of quickly learning new technology and implementing it in business environment
  • Strong project management and demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good team player and open to sharing and gathering technical and functional knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Historian and data processing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
  • 8 years of experience with Process Engineering or IT application development using SQL, VBA, and .NET technologies.
  • Instrumental and Controls experience
