Job Description

 

The Marketing Communications Manager will assist in the development of Marketing Communications strategies, deliverables, and programs including digital and traditional design, production, and media services to support the Specialty Catalysts (SC) business segment. The role will collaborate closely with business and Marketing leaders to execute and manage integrated, multi-media marketing communications programs that achieve specific marketing/sales objectives for each SC sub-segment/product lines. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Communications and will be located a the corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD!

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Manage the business' day-to-day advertising/marketing, media relations, creative editorial, and design services
  • Manage projects to make sure deliverables are on-time
  • Create and develop content (presentations, press releases, internal communications, event & sales collateral, new product launch execution, insights messaging, etc.) that comply with brand governance
  • Oversee research and development of internal and external MarCom content
  • Event Management for both internal and external stakeholders 
  • Report program KPIs and progress against goals
  • Assist with management and execution of digital campaigns, as needed, to increase customer engagement 
  • Collaborate with internal digital media and creative teams
  • Work with external agencies, as necessary
  • Provide strategic and creative recommendations and fresh ideas for a variety of communications channels

Required Skills

 

  • Results-oriented with the demonstrated ability to plan and execute strategies to drive business growth. 
  • Ability to influence internal clients and manage third-party relationships, plus the skills to manage multi-disciplinary projects are essential. 
  • Exceptional communication abilities, including writing, speaking, and active listening
  • In-depth knowledge of best writing and messaging practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing and sales copy, and social media
  • Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels and across departments
  • Advanced organization abilities; plus great project management skills, including time management, goal setting, multitasking and prioritization
  • Good data analysis and problem-solving
  • Great attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure to deadlines

Required Experience

 

  • 4-year degree in a related discipline
  • 7-10 years in marketing communications, public relations, or advertising
  • Experience with traditional and digital content creation 
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or similar preferred 
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation software
  • Excellent skills with MS Office
  • Good knowledge of marketing principles and best practices
