Job Description
We're hiring a Manufacturing Excellence Work Management Process Leader to develop strategies and drive improvement of the overall work management process. You will report to the Reliability and Excellence Process Leader. This role develops processes and tools to improve planning, scheduling, and work prioritization and assess work management practices and procedures and develops standards based on best practices. This position uses data analysis tools to assess site performance and identifies improvement opportunities, including capital investments.
The ideal candidate would be based at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD. Alternative work locations will be considered, however you must be located near one of our US locations. Travel to our plant locations will be required and expected to be 50-75%.
Responsibilities
- Support and participate in the development of short and long-term strategic planning to strengthen and drive improvements in Maintenance Excellence metrics and performance.
- Use ME processes and tools to drive continuous improvements in the areas of safety and environmental compliance.
- Mitigate and assess risks globally to equipment and infrastructure across the Grace network.
- Benchmark Grace maintenance costs across all similar business groups to identify areas for improvement utilizing maintenance data and OEE as drivers to standardize.
- Evaluate the maintenance organization structures, craft skills and MRO practices.
- Drive cultural change around maintenance work management processes.
- Implement upgraded processes, define roles and responsibilities and gain buy-in from all levels of leadership.
- Assess and improve work prioritization, planning, scheduling and associated management processes.
- Leader of change with the ability to influence and gain support from operator/craft level to executive leadership.
- Ability to lead projects with multiple stakeholders and align their objectives in order to meet project milestones.
- Develop, communicate and train on best practices to support maintenance processes.
- Understand work management principles to be able to support sites in the implementation of the standards.
- Drive and support the use and continued development of the Production Loss Accounting systems used at the Grace sites. Be able to support the sites in bad actor analysis and other analytics.
- Help to identify high-risk Maintenance Capital Projects thru all phases of the project. Participate on charter development and vet the risk ranking.
- Ensure Corporate Engineering standards are being met.
- Support and drive LCAM (Life Cycle Asset Management) for critical assets.
- Drive and support sustainability efforts to identity opportunities around: Energy consumption (thru better technology CAPEX and alternative analysis), Waste reduction (to include hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams) and LCNC ideas and energy weeks (energy treasure hunts).
Required Qualifications
⦁ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
⦁ 5+ years of experience in maintenance management in a manufacturing environment.
⦁ 10+ years of experience implementing and designing work processes.
⦁ Proven track record of managing complex projects.
⦁ Demonstrated experience in change management.
⦁ Excellent communication and influence skills.
⦁ Critical and innovative thinking.
⦁ Able to develop processes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
⦁ Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
⦁ PSM experience.
⦁ Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional.
⦁ Master’s degree.
