Job Description

Grace is seeking a Manager, Program Management Office (PMO) to join our Strategy & Planning team! This role reports to our Director of Strategy located in Columbia, Maryland. 

 

The incumbent is required to be a highly visible, strategic leader who partners closely with senior leadership and extended leadership teams to drive the successful execution of enterprise-wide, high-impact initiatives. This role ensures disciplined project governance, fosters alignment across stakeholders, and enables executive decision-making through data-driven insights and proactive communication.  The PMO Manager influences outcomes through cross-functional coordination, transparent reporting, and strong leadership engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Drive milestone attainment and initiative completion across strategic programs.
  • Lead small to medium-sized sub-projects with clear accountability.
  • Coordinate execution workstreams and ensure interdependencies are managed.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reports and presentations.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align on goals, timing, and resource commitments.
  • Resolve project level conflicts and escalate issues to ensure program momentum
  • Own and maintain PMO tracking tools; ensure data integrity and discipline.
  • Provide surge support across SPS functions during peak periods.
  • Validate activities and results; challenge assumptions and timing.
  • Recommend solutions and assess resource performance

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience, including managing programs or projects.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering 
  • Demonstrated experience in driving projects/initiatives to completion, including ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial data, assess project financial health and make informed decisions to identify and mitigate risks across projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and executive-level narratives.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex environments.
  • Strong business acumen. Ability to identify and prioritize actions that align with enterprise commitments strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a strategic or enterprise-level context
  • MBA 
  • PMP certification
