Job Description
Join the Grace Communications Team as the Global Internal Communications Manager. Work closely with Human Resources, Global Operations, site management and other internal stakeholders to plan, develop, implement and measure communications strategies and tactics that inform, engage, inspire and align a global workforce of 4,500. Excellent writing and tactful interpersonal skills a must. A marketing and communications generalist, the successful candidate will be a creative self-starter who is passionate about the power of employee communications and engagement to support business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- In partnership with Communications Team members and HR stakeholders, develop and continually refine the internal communications strategy.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders in every division and every location to stay abreast of news, issues, successes and opportunities across the organization.
- Develop and manage mechanisms for inbound internal communications; continually elicit feedback to inform leadership, ongoing programming, messaging and strategy.
- Liaison with internal stakeholders in business units, global operations, HR and other functional areas to develop and maintain an editorial calendar, campaign cadence and messaging that meet business objectives.
- Write and produce deliverables, including intranet pages, employee app, video content, digital signage, social media posts, companywide emails, policies, presentations, talking points, etc.
- Collaborate with in-house creative and production as well as external vendors to execute internal communications deliverables that meet objectives while advancing the company brand and upholding high productions standards.
- Develop and maintain key messages and calendar of company events and activations as well as external and industry activities and milestones that may influence internal communications programs.
- Support employer branding strategy and promotion via company content on LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Glassdoor, Grace.com and recruiting events.
- Champion employee social media ambassadors and employee social media engagement in general.
- Track and measure success via plans, budgets and regular reporting against goals.
- Support other company communications and marketing activities and deliverables as needed.
- Liaison with internal communications teams at Standard Industries (Grace’s parent company) and other operating companies.
- Stay abreast of employee communications best practices and emerging opportunities and bring new programs, tools and ideas to Grace to continuously improve internal communications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in communications, journalism, marketing, business or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, marketing communications or digital marketing.
- Excellent writing, critical thinking, problem-solving and project management abilities.
- Ability to translate technical jargon into marketing copy.
- Ability to write and edit in a variety of styles and voices (e.g., corporate, executive, formal, casual, etc.)
- Demonstrable expertise in producing communications campaigns across traditional and digital channels.
- Ability to navigate a matrixed environment, multitask and meet client/stakeholder expectations on time and on budget.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Great people skills and comfort working with everyone from C-suite to junior staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemical, manufacturing and/or industrial industry experience
- Experience with Staffbase, Sharepoint, Adobe Marketing Cloud
