Job Description
Grace is revitalizing its Maintenance and Reliability focus and is hiring a Maintenance Excellence (ME), Reliability Process Leader to drive performance improvements and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and develop/execute the strategy for asset care plans. You will create and lead Centers of Excellence (COE) teams focused on rotating, fixed and E/I equipment and be responsible for establishing standards for critical equipment and identifying critical equipment at all Grace sites. In addition, you will work with Process Safety Management (PSM) sites to ensure Mechanical Integrity (MI) standards ae being followed and drive progress and execution of high-risk Maintenance Capital Projects.
The ideal candidate would be based at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD. Alternative work locations will be considered, however you must be located near one of our US locations. Travel to our plant locations will be required and expected to be 50-75%.
Responsibilities
- Support and participate in the development of short and long-term strategic planning to strengthen and drive improvements in ME metrics and performance.
- Use ME processes and tools to drive continuous improvements in the areas of safety and environmental compliance.
- Develop and lead COE Teams including Fixed, Rotating and Electrical and Instrumentation Equipment
- Use ME processes and tools to drive continuous improvements in reliability, availability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Using best in class reliability concepts, mitigate and assess risks globally to equipment and infrastructure across the Grace network.
- Benchmark Grace maintenance costs across all similar business groups to identify areas for improvement utilizing reliability analytics, maintenance data and OEE as drivers to standardize.
- Drive cultural change around maintenance reliability processes.
- Ability to lead projects with multiple stakeholders and align their objectives to meet project milestones.
- In-depth working knowledge in the areas of PSM and Responsible Care as it relates to MI requirements that fall under those programs.
- Drive and support the use and continued development of the Production Loss Accounting systems.
- Support Maintenance Capital Projects for design for reliability and support alternatives analysis.
- Support and drive LCAM (Life Cycle Asset Management) for critical assets.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering, preferred ME or EE.
- 20+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations with a focus on maintenance or production.
- Knowledge of PSM, specifically mechanical integrity standards.
- Demonstrated experience in change management.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong critical thinking.
- Able to develop processes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project.
- 5+ years of experience using SAP systems.
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional.
