Job Description

Key responsibilities in this role will be to develop a standard and manage the implementation of MRP/ATP process, system and underlying transactional disciplines across Grace.  Link Grace Integrated Business Management (Gibm) business strategies with all facets of Grace supply chain, operations, and IT functional areas to surpass customer expectations consistently, efficiently and cost-effectively.

 

This individual will be expected to drive change via process solutions and lead teams utilizing effective project management skills. 

  • Establish a Grace Standard for MRP/ATP implementation through collaboration with IT and ISC organizations
  • Develop project milestones and deliverables and manage projection execution for MRP/ATP implementation across Grace
  • Measure performance utilizing appropriate tools and techniques and track progress via project plan. Report results on a frequent basis as identified through Gibm Cadence
  • Lead the planning teams/business in developing and evaluating business processes, master data management, and transactional disciplines (As-Is and To-Be) in the current SAP environment
  • Work collaboratively with supply planning, operations and ISC Directors across Grace to develop new processes, challenge current practices, and effectively manage change
  • Lead design sessions with multiple cross-functional teams
  • Document detailed requirements and gaps in capabilities while taking responsibility for recommending solutions to cross-functional business and planning stakeholders and IT for problem resolution
  • Develop and manage detailed project plan with milestones, clear actions and deliverables
  • Document future-state processes and develop training documentation for users on new processes and systems, including master data and transactional disciplines
  • Responsible for guiding, training, and influencing acceptance of new processes leverage new systems and data management standards
  • Deliver project results on time, within budget and scope. Manage changes to scope, schedule or costs with supervisor approval.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Facilitate and troubleshoot problems throughout configuration, testing, go-live, and post go-live phases.  Coordinate resolution of issues with IT and system provider.
  • Utilize Change Management toolkit to develop and incorporate Change Management plans into project implementation

Required Skills

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including advanced group facilitation and development of effective presentations
  • High degree of organizational and time management skills; ability to plan, organize, build effective teams and drive for results, including attention to detail, multi-tasking, and budgeting disciplines to meet project goals.
  • Demonstrated intercultural awareness skills and ability to work with and motivate people not reporting directly, including internal stakeholders, system providers at all levels, and Executive leadership. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, influence and drive change in a matrixed organization
  • Highly motivated team player with hands on mentality and managerial courage
  • Results-orientation; collaborative, team player
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Capable to identify and solve complex process and operational business challenges
  • Capable of thinking strategically and analytically to problem solve independently
  • Confident in ability to lead change management initiatives
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Flexible travel required, up to 50% possible

Required Experience

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science with Supply Chain application focus preferred    
  • 10 - 12+ years’ experience in planning with strategic, tactical, scheduling, execution perspectives preferred.       
  • Previous experience with implementation of a SAP MRP/ATP required
  • Experienced with leading a team of business process and technical resources to complete assigned objectives in a timely and efficient manner. Understanding of end-to-end cross-functional interactions and interdependencies as it relates to the planning, order promising, production, and distribution of materials across Grace’s global supply network.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a global MRP/ATP system implementation with effective change management
  • Proven experience leading a project or project team.
  • Large-scale transformation experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS Certification (CSCP) preferred
