Job Description

Support industrial hygiene programs at US based locations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Researching and evaluating health and safety topics and developing related programs and guidance.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of industrial hygiene programs.
  • Identify and track relevant metrics to show continuous improvement.
  • Act as an administrator of IH database
  • Conduct onsite fit testing
  • Assessing workplace exposures, hazards, and risks.
  • Identifying and assessing the effectiveness and feasibility of hazard control measures.
  • Collecting and analyzing safety and health data.
  • Conduct onsite sampling and monitoring.  Identify areas of opportunity, complete comprehensive reports and present the data.  Assist the sites with corrective action plans.
  • Performing inspections and evaluations related to industrial hygiene programs.
  • Developing and providing health and safety training.
  • Perform laboratory safety inspection surveys
  • Document baseline exposures and recommend measures to mitigate identified hazards
  • Support industrial hygiene initiatives across US and international sites as feasible
  • Assist with the development of Global IH procedures/policies
  • Manage IH database
  • Travel will be required

Required Skills

  • Experience with IH based platform systems,
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments,
  • Experience reviewing and summarizing large sets of health and safety data.
  • Excellent communication, writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Indoor Air Quality issues is a plus

Required Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Hygiene or a related field
  • 3 years of experience working in the capacity of an Industrial Hygienist in manufacturing, laboratory or consulting setting
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, chemical hazards, radiological hazards, and laboratory safety
  • Experience assessing and mitigating hazards to maintain compliance with the OSHA standards, and applicable guidelines and regulations
  • Experience developing, implementing, and reviewing industrial hygiene policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of relevant industrial hygiene regulations and guidelines
  • Experience developing and implementing training
  • Outstanding written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in industrial hygiene.
