Job Description

Reporting to the Sr. VP and CFO, and working closely with the broader senior leadership team, the Head of Investor Relations is responsible for developing and leading a world-class investor relations program aimed at maximizing the company’s long-term shareholder value. The role will have both internal and external responsibilities, including leading all investor communications and activities, providing investor and market intelligence and counsel to senior leadership, and proactively educating investors and analysts on the company’s strategy, performance and broader investment thesis. The position is based at our Global Headquarters in Columbia, Maryland.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive investor relations strategy, programs and policies that enhance Grace’s image and reputation among current and prospective investors as well as sell-side analysts with a focus on demonstrating in-depth company and industry knowledge, being highly accessible and responsive
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships across the Company with Finance, Legal, Communications, Businesses and others involved in IR process
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the investment community and the company; deepen and broaden relationships with the buy-side and sell-side and respond to shareholder communications in a timely and accurate manner
  • Oversee and execute all investor communications including earnings announcements, specifically the press release, presentation, prepared remarks and Q&A, investor presentations and investor relations website
  • Develop and manage the IR calendar, specifically investor and analyst targeting and outreach globally, such as industry conferences, investor meetings and calls, site visits, shareholder meetings and investor days; ensure senior leadership’s time is maximized for greatest impact
  • Proactively market and keep the buy-side and sell-side knowledgeable about and up to date on the company’s investment story, including competitive positioning, financials, operations, and prospects for growth
  • Track and measure message retention and investor and analyst perceptions and develop strategies to address disconnects and maximize communication impact
  • Provide business, financial and market intelligence to executive management and identify industry trends, shareholder concerns and competitor actions that might impact the company
  • Oversee the analysis for and creation of periodic reports to senior leadership and the board covering company's stock price, peer company performance and relative valuation, analyst estimates and investor and analyst perceptions, and stock market dynamics

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or relevant field of study
  • 10+ years business experience in investor relations and/or related disciplines including finance, business management, planning and strategy, marketing, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of investor relations practices and Reg FD and other SEC disclosure regulations
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of corporate finance, financial reporting and GAAP accounting practices
