Job Description

The HR Optimization Leader will be responsible for working with the Total Rewards Team to complete North America and global HR projects that will optimize and improve value stream processes, customer facing problems and demonstrate business value.  This role will direct, implement and evaluate projects; mentor project leaders, train end-users (i.e. HR, leaders, and employees); and provide regular reporting of project updates to the Vice President, Total Rewards and other Senior Leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and prioritize potential projects including financial benefit and process/business impact.
  • Leads large and small scale cross functional HR teams with focus on continuous methodology.  Influences and leads teams through difficult or complex efforts
  • Works independently with project teams and ensures completion and delivery of projects
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to project leaders and partners with them to establish project charters and key deliverables/project plans.  Ensures follow-up actions are delegated and completed on time
  • Utilizes change acceleration skills to remove barriers to keep project on track
  • Provides continuous improvement training to end users (i.e. employees, leaders, and stakeholders)
  • Leads project review meetings  
  • Identify improvement opportunities and develops/maintains project hoppers
  • Works closely with Internal Audit to ensure that completed projects satisfy SOX compliance
  • Routinely interacts and collaborates effectively with all levels of the organization including senior executives

Required Skills

This position requires process improvement experience with demonstrated proof of success thru measurable data and several project completions. In addition, must have strong data analysis skills to drive process improvements, change management as well as business decisions based on data.

  • Project Management experience and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work with teams, as either a resource and/or leader, to achieve common goals. 
  • Solid understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools
  • Leadership skills (can construct a vision, thinks creatively to solve issues, and is goal-oriented)
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Possess the ability to successfully facilitate project events, training sessions, and meetings.
  • Results focused with proven demonstrated results
  • Must demonstrate independent sound judgment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to effectively communicate business issues and analysis both to team members and senior management
  • Decision making, problem solving, and analytical/quantitative skills
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Required Experience

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field
