Job Description

The Sr. Global Technical Services Manager, Polyethylene maintains and expands Grace technical relationships with customers through frequent direct contact and service delivery that helps increase company profitability in the respective polymerization platform.The Sr. Global Technical Services Manager , Polyethylene reports to the Vice President Sales of the respective region.

  • Global leader for Technical Service to support an industry segment setting direction and priorities with agreement of Sales & Marketing leadership to ensure business and regional goals are achieved.
  • Drive Grace technology across polymerization platform (Process platform based)
  • Direct management responsibility for the Technical Services team in the respective region
  • Work closely with other functions in Grace (mainly Research & Development, Marketing and Business Development) to deliver Grace’s full portfolio of products and services.
  • Maintain broad based technical and economic knowledge of the Polyolefins business and develop the technical services team to stay on top of new technologies, ensuring global sharing of key learnings
  • Drive commercial trials and commercial product introductions
  • Support sales team in the technical aspects of new account acquisition, sale of new products, and Jeopardy account protection
  • Manage the trial cycle
  • Provide on-site and remote support during customer trials in order to assist customers in achieving maximum benefit from Grace products
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external safety regulations pertaining to environmental protection and occupational & traffic safety according to the GRACE EHS system
  • Represent the company on Technical  conferences

  • Average travel of 40-50%

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in polyolefin related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical Services role
  • Material handling, Process hazard analysis and engineering principles
  • Polymerization process expertise
  • Proven talent for leading a multi-cultural, multi-functional team in a matrix organization and across technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD degree
  • Experience in a manufacturing company
