Job Description
Grace is seeking a Finance Manager for the Polyolefin and Chemical Catalysts business to join our team reporting to the Finance Director – Polyolefin and Chemical Catalysts business located in Columbia, MD.
Responsibilities
- Lead P/L consolidation and support the creation of quality financial review packages for Business Operating Review (BOR), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP) and ad hoc presentations – assisting with both financials and storytelling.
- Working on a cross functional team, manage monthly revenue forecast process
- Assist with key analytics and drive results around cash metrics (Accounts Receivable (AR), inventory, etc).
- Represent Finance on critical inter-functional meetings, including but not limited to Demand Review, Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SI&OP)
- Assist in sales/customer/market trend analysis, product profitability, pricing analysis, and other key business analytics.
- Lead the creation and presentation of financial analysis and modeling to support business decision making and support the Business strategy - including Capital Spending, M&A activities, etc.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to planning and reporting processes.
- Help to maintain a strong, cost-effective controls environment ensuring compliance with all accounting and reporting regulations and company accounting policies and procedures.
- Coordinate efficiently and effectively with the various finance teams, the business finance leaders, Global Business Services (GBS), as well other functional groups outside of finance to facilitate communication of financials and performance metrics.
- Build and manage relationships with other stakeholders such as Business Management and Marketing for managing the portfolio of key business analytics including but not limited to Business Profitability, Asset Profitability, Cashflow, Balance Sheet views.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as SAP and related systems / modules (e.g. Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)).
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in large multinational manufacturing corporation - progressing in finance/accounting and working in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to interact effectively with executives, management and functional peer groups and to gain cooperation from others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate/present issues and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, excellent business acumen.
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be highly organized, detail oriented, able to multitask, prioritize, and respond when sense of urgency is present.
- Team oriented and capable of collaborating across multiple functions within the organization.
- Ability to interact with all Finance functions – Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Tax, and Treasury.
- Confident with strong interpersonal, influencing, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and management.
- Possess the ability to work independently and exercise own judgment.
- Dynamic, flexible, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to motivate and drive results.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks/deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proven track record of leading finance transformation initiatives and driving cross functional collaboration.
