Job Description

Grace is seeking a Director Talent Management to join our Human Resources team! This role reports to the Vice President, Talent and is located at the headquarters in Columbia, MD.

The Director Talent Management will be responsible for creating strategies and overseeing and executing the management of all aspects of talent management including succession planning, employee engagement, performance management and leadership development.  This role is a key driver to our high-performance culture goals to attract, engage, develop, and retain high-performing talent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thought leadership, consultation, and guidance to the company on talent management strategies in partnership with the businesses and HR leaders
  • Ensure a common competency-based approach for leadership development, including the creation of job pools, that is linked systemically to talent management outcomes
  • Partner with the businesses and HR leaders to ensure common approach for Coaching
  • Lead the solid design and effective delivery of organization development approaches as well as individual and team training programs (both outsourced and in-house)
  • Ensure performance management initiatives reflect best practices and accomplish intended objectives for Grace and employees
  • Lead the approach and execution of identifying engagement of employees and approaches for resolution of areas in need of improvement.
  • Ensure diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) principles and approaches are foundational to all talent management practices in partnership with the business, DEI and HR teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 15+ years of experience in talent management, organization development, HR or related field. 
  • High degree of initiative, accountability and ownership of all aspects of the role
  • Thought leadership at the corporate level preferred
  • Team leadership
  • Vendor and contractor management
  • Strong project management skills
  • Polished communicator with an ability to comfortably interact with all levels of the organization, from C-Suite to Individual Contributor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in I/O psychology or organizational behavior preferred.
