Job Description

Grace is seeking a transformational leader to manage a high performance Enterprise Applications team. The director will be part of IT leadership team responsible for setting strategy, providing leadership, defining goals, tracking performance, developing teams and solutions, prioritizing projects and resources and delivering results on our business systems technology platform, primarily running on SAP.  The  Director of Enterprise Applications will lead a team responsible for architecture, design, development, support, maintenance and future roadmaps for a number of strategic enterprise platforms and HR applications, primarily running on SAP. The Director of Enterprise Applications will collaborate with senior leaders and other key stakeholders across several areas of the business to identify, prioritize and deliver technology solutions in support of their goals and objectives.  Travel will be 20% based upon projects.


Develop and manage cross-functional business partnerships within Grace to deliver strategic enterprise applications with a cloud-first, always-on and access-anywhere mentality.  Participate and manage IT budget and project prioritization with business leaders to ensure system investments are aligned with business requirements to maximize return on investments.  Actively engage the business to understand opportunities, build strong partnerships in support of business and ensure alignment of department initiatives with corporate objectives.

Lead/Build global Enterprise applications team to design solutions and undertake projects on SAP ECC, SAP related bolt-ons and other application systems and have overall responsibility for the health and management of these systems.  Manage the portfolio of SAP IT and Business applications projects on a global basis.  Global IT Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures (M&A&D).  Provide seamless integration between Governance, IT Service delivery team, service provider (IBM), and business stakeholders to achieve business goals

Identify and implement continuous improvements opportunities, standardize business processes and facilitate change management activities in a global enterprise.  Provide forward looking vision when designing solutions to maintain flexibility for future integration/divestiture opportunities. Lead project implementation teams across geographies and functional lines to deliver high quality solutions while complying with project management best practices. Promote a collaborative environment across IT, Business and external partners.

Manage all phases of full life-cycle implementation projects, including: blueprinting, design, development, testing, UA, deployment and support.

Required Skills

  • Candidate must possess knowledge of processes in a manufacturing environment and should be a subject matter expert in SAP.
  • Strong business partnering skills
  • Proven track record managing 3rd party vendors for system implementation and support.
  • A history of successful multi-tenant, cloud-based system deployments is required.

Required Experience

  • Bachelors degree or higher with demonstrated knowledge of business process reengineering in large enterprises
  • Experience in using project management methodologies to lead large complex projects across geographies and functional lines with ability to tailor approach for project success.
  • Extensive experience building and managing a diverse and inclusive team environment with strong commitment to respect, equality and teaming.
  • Management of numerous successful global SAP implementation/integration/divestiture projects.
  • Must have had experience with SAP S4HANA
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • 5+ years in managerial role that required hiring, leading and developing employees.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft technologies  a plus
  • Candidate must possess knowledge of processes in a manufacturing environment and should be a subject matter expert in SAP.

Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experience in manufacturing industry is preferred.
