Job Description

Grace is on journey of manufacturing digitalization and this role will be part of critical digitalization effort and focused on integration of different applications and data streams. The architect will be a part of the Grace IT team and will work closely with the larger digitalization team, application leaders, and other members of the IT organization to deliver new capabilities and help improve existing integrations.  The person will report to the Director of Digital Apps and be hybrid on site in Columbia, Maryland. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive integration strategies to connect diverse applications and data streams, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on integration technologies and methodologies, including APIs, ETL processes, messaging systems, and middleware platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and define integration solutions.
  • Design robust and scalable integration architectures that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices.
  • Implement and configure integration solutions, leveraging appropriate tools and technologies to facilitate data exchange and workflow automation.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize integration performance to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation including design specifications, integration workflows, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Identify potential risks and dependencies associated with integration projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on business operations.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of integration solutions to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed to leverage third-party integration solutions and support services.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Integration Architect or similar role, with a minimum of 10 years in IT integration projects.
  • Deep understanding of integration concepts and technologies, including RESTful APIs, SOAP, ETL, message queuing, and middleware platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with integration tools such as SAP BODS/CPI, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions
  • Experience with integrating data between GCP services and external systems, including data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell for automation tasks and managing GCP resources programmatically.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Track record of quickly learning new technology and implementing it in business environment
  • Strong project management and demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good team player and open to sharing and gathering technical and functional knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • 10 years of IT applications and data stream integrations
  • Certification in integration technologies (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, Dell Boomi Developer Certification) is a plus.
