Job Description
We are seeking a project manager to become a valued member of our team supporting our rapidly growing global cybersecurity initiative.
The Cybersecurity Project Manager will plan and manage a series of interconnected cybersecurity projects in the manufacturing sector. This position will report to the Cybersecurity Program Director and will be located at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD.
Responsibilities
- Define the overall scope and acceptance criteria for projects
- Develop detailed project management plans to track progress
- Identify dependencies between tasks
- Create and update project documentation
- Create accurate forecasts for revenue and resource requirements
- Ensure project tasks are executed and reviewed within scope
- Proactively identify risks and create mitigation plans
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with engineers, stakeholders and executives and document meeting minutes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- At least 2 years of experience leading teams in a project-based IT organization
- Experience leading teams in a matrix organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter that requires light supervision and multi-tasks effectively
- Ability to track tasks and action items across multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Ability to interface with internal customers at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage external vendors
- Ability to create a structured project plans using common tools like MS Project (experience with Smartsheet preferred but not required)
- Ability to complete data analysis using common tools like Microsoft Excel and experience using common functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and basic formulas (experience with Google Workspace preferred by not required)
- Ability to create clear, effective presentations for executive and staff-level audiences
- Ability to apply feedback received on day-to-day work to improve performance
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification
- Cybersecurity experience
- Experience in the manufacturing sector
