Job Description

Grace is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Global Operations (ISC) to join our Legal leadership team as we grow and develop our organization to build a scalable platform for rapid organic and inorganic growth. This role reports to our Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary and is located in Columbia, Maryland.


The Assistant General Counsel, Global Operations serves as the primary legal counsel supporting the Company's global manufacturing, logistics, procurement and supply chain activities.  Among other things, they will identify and analyze legal issues, negotiate and draft contracts and other business documents, provide counsel and recommendations, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.  They will be the main attorney supporting the President and leadership team for the Global Operations/Integrated Supply Chain organization globally.

  • Partner with and counsel the President and leadership team for the Integrated Supply Chain organization globally
  • Support global planning and procurement strategies to efficiently and effectively meet the needs of customers.
  • Review, negotiate and draft all types of commercial contracts including: supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, real estate matters, and services agreements,
  • Identify and resolve contract disputes with third-parties prior to the initiation of litigation.
  • Coordinate with other legal experts in specialized areas such as intellectual property, labor & employment, real estate, litigation and tax.
  • Provide additional legal support on other matters and assume other responsibilities, as assigned, including but not limited to general corporate matters.


Required Qualifications

  • Proven self-starter, results-oriented, high-energy team player with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to assume ownership and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, legal drafting, and analytical skills required.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and resourceful with strong follow-through skills.
  • J.D. with a strong academic record
  • At least seven (7) years of experience, including five (5) years in-house handling global manufacturing, procurement and supply chain matters.
  • Strong contracts and manufacturing/procurement/operations background.
