Job Description

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling of the maintenance matters of the facility.  

Responsibilities

  • Work with suppliers to ensure that the plant is consistently receiving quality goods and services at the lowest possible cost
  • Communicate BOM discrepancies to Equipment Specialist when found
  • Procure parts and materials for planned work
  • Accountable for tracking ordered parts to ensure on-time completion of Job Planning
  • Arrange for outside contract services as required
  • Ensure that contractors have COI and required credentials to perform work
  • Conduct on site evaluation of work order
  • Front line customer contact for job planning and asset availability
  • Interface with Maintenance (Maintenance Engineers, Technical Reliability Engineers and Supervision & IE Technicians and Electrician) for job plan reviews as required
  • Interface with Operations Group (Ops Lead/Planners and Production Engineers) for task priorities
  • Responsible for planned work compliance with current standards and specifications
  • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of work plans
  • Participate in trade group meetings for assigned areas
  • Serve as SME to provide technical support for job plans
  • Work with trades and review job histories for continuous improvement of job plans
  • Develop executable daily/weekly/monthly/yearly schedules from planned backlog

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or 3 years of maintenance and electrical instrumentation experience. 
  • Maintenance planning experience preferred
