Job Description
W.R. Grace & Co. a leading manufacturer of Specialty Chemicals has an immediate need for a Maintenance Planning Supervisor responsible for the planning and scheduling of site Maintenance services. Position reports to the Curtis Bay, MD, Site Maintenance Manager supervising planners while working closely with all area Operations Leaders to effectivity coordinate the safe execution using contractor and craft resources with all site operations units.
Responsibilities
- Participate in leading a safe work culture through example and planning to safely complete work.
- Continuous development of planning and scheduling work processes and personnel.
- Manage the creation of selected work plans and/or schedules for the maintenance and improvements of plant assets for Routine Maintenance and Shutdowns, Turnarounds and Outages (STO).
- Review the development of Routine/STO work breakdown structures, task list and job plans.
- Participate in Annual STO Scheduling and manage the creation of Outage Revisions.
- Review and assist in the development of Gantt Schedules and review critical path jobs.
- Participate in contractor selection and ensure technical qualifications, safety training and safe work plans are reviewed and completed.
- Review scheduled work with planners to determine the level of outside resources required to execute special projects and STO.
- Track and report Routine Maintenance and STO KPI Reports management through meetings, Gantt Charts and/or written reports.
- Review plans in SAP for accuracy for the craftsman to perform their work efficiently and safely.
- Resolve employee and contractor issues including grievances.
Physical Requirements and Environment
- Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a pilot plant facility with highly hazardous materials
- Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
- Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated team leadership skills.
- 5+ years of contractor / maintenance planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory / storeroom management processes.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance work processes in a manufacturing environment.
- SAP experience.
