Job Description
Grace is recruiting for future leaders interested in the manufacturing environment to join the Grace Manufacturing Leadership Program (MLP). The Program is designed for individuals who demonstrate strong leadership and management potential and have a strong interest in the manufacturing field. MLP’s have the opportunity to learn about the many aspects of our business, receive leadership, supply chain, finance, and Six Sigma training, and develop a professional network for sharing ideas and best practices around manufacturing excellence.
Throughout the program, MLPs complete 3 rotations designed to provide a range of manufacturing experience while strengthening leadership skills. Rotation disciplines include the following:
Responsibilities
Year 1:

Project & Process Engineering, Productivity:
-
Interact and collaborate with engineers and plant leaders to learn fundamentals and improve manufacturing performance.

Work on a variety of challenging plant production processes and projects.

Year 2:

Production Supervision, Sales & Operations Planning, Environmental, Health & Safety:
-
Partner closely with leaders in Process Technology, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Center of Excellence, Business Management and more.

Learn about how strategic decision-making integrates with plant operations.

Note: Year 2 rotation will be take place in Columbia, MD (headquarters)

Maintenance & Reliability, Digitization, Operational Excellence:

Identify, lead and monitor the successful execution of a process improvement or capital project.

Gain leadership experience by supervising a team of employees

Year 1:
The MLPs can be assigned to the following US locations during the first year of the program.
- Lake Charles, LA
- Curtis Bay/Baltimore, MD
Year 2:
- Columbia, MD (headquarters)
Year 3:
Placement can occur in:
- Baton Rouge, LA; Chattanooga, TN; Chicago, IL; Curtis Bay, MD; East Chicago, IN; Lake Charles, LA; Norco, LA; Pasadena, TX; South Haven, MI or Tyrone, PA, based on availability and preference
Note: locations can be modified based on business needs
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in an engineering discipline is required, preferably Chemical or Mechanical with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior meaningful work assignments such as a co-op or summer internship, success in the classroom, and prior leadership experience.
- Must be willing to relocate during the program approximately every 12 months and be willing to work at any Grace site or plant that you are assigned
