Job Description
Grace is hiring a Maintenance Engineer for our Specialty Catalyst (SC) plants at our Curtis Bay, MD facility. This position is part of the Maintenance/Reliability Team and reports to the Reliability Leader.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be part of a team that is embedded in the SC operating area along with a maintenance supervisor, process engineer, and production engineer(s) supporting the Operations Team. This team is responsible for providing specialty catalyst to our customers safely, on spec, and on time.
Responsibilities
- Develops and manages equipment maintenance plans for area equipment. Including updating PM, PdM, CBM routines, and equipment lists in SAP
- Tracks, manages, and analyzes area asset reliability data
- Performs FMEA’s and RCFA’s to ensure long term maintenance equipment problems are appropriately investigated with solutions implemented
- Identifies critical spares and recommended spare parts inventory levels
- Identifies and scopes potential reliability improvement projects
- Facilitates area Maintenance planning and execution meeting for outages
- Provides input to weekly maintenance schedules
- Assists with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
- Supports Purchasing/Goods Receipts/New Vendors/Requisitions
- Participates in Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) including, PSSR and Management of Change (MOCs)
- Manages area equipment files and documentation
- Manages small projects including contract bidding and supervision to commissioning and startup activities
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering discipline (ME highly preferred)
- 3-5+ years Maintenance/Engineering experience in process manufacturing environment, such as Chemical, Paper, Metals, Refinery
- Proactive problem-solving approach focused on action
- Ability to organize and prioritize
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and other maintenance scheduling tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - work with multiple departments to solve problems
- Understanding of industry design, repair standards and maintenance practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a PSM plant
- Experience using SAP Preventative Maintenance module
- Knowledge of Engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, etc
- Knowledge of equipment monitoring such as Vibration Analysis, Ultrasound, Oil Analysis and Infrared Thermography
- Knowledge of machinery lubrication
