Job Description

 W.R. Grace & Co. a leading manufacturer of Specialty Chemicals has an immediate need for a Manager responsible for the site facilities services. Position will manage large storeroom (salary and hourly staff) and facility service contracts for multiple contractor services; including mechanical and electrical contractors, fire safety systems, HVAC, scaffolding, janitorial, industrial cleaning (jetting/vac), pest control, and others. 


  • Oversight and coordination of facility services with all areas of the operation
  • Manages the engagement, performance, and development of storeroom supervisor/clerical staff and labor relations with storeroom personnel, including recognition efforts and performance management
  • Drives continuous improvement in service contract management / facilities equipment and operating efficiencies
  • Participates in the development of the Annual Operating Plan; updates, forecasts, and continuously reviews the plan compliance with respect to the established budget
  • Drives and develops 3-5 year capital plan for facilities area
  • Drives EHSS initiatives within areas of responsibility
  • Reviews performance of employees and contractors to improve performance and productivity
  • Works closely with the maintenance planning and scheduling process to ensure kitting and supply of parts are available
  • Responsible for area reporting requirements including SAP Information, labor reporting, and document preparation, etc.
  • Conforms to ISO 9002 and GMP (as required) standards
  • Evaluates SAP PM requirements and helps to develop equipment maintenance bill of materials
  • Understand, interpret and administer union contract agreement; Holds first step grievance meetings
  • Maintain and administer overtime procedure
  • Strives to improve equipment uptime, quality, and rates
  • Ensures compliance with codes and standards for all work within areas of responsibility
  • Supports maintenance excellence initiatives, capital projects, and training requirement

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of contractor / facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of inventory / storeroom management processes
  • Strong knowledge of service contracting for facility services
  • Ability to hold employees and contractors accountable for working safely, and productively, producing quality work
    • ​​​​​​​Ensure regulatory compliance, including environmental and process safety, and a safe workplace for all employees

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or degree in Industrial Technology field
