Job Description

The Oregon plant of W. R. Grace & Co. is currently seeking a Materials Coordinator to enhance our growing team. Reporting to the Planning and Logistics Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring on time delivery of materials in accordance with contract terms and conditions.

 

Job Description:

  • Provide updates for material status and open purchase orders, including expediting, tracking and returns
  • Coordinates scheduling for orders based on material lead times and arrival dates, utilizing MRP module of SAP
  • Provides status updates and follow-up to internal client groups
  • Maintains integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory by location
  • Coordinates year-end physical inventory counts as well as daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts
  • Maintains records/spreadsheets, plans for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecasts
  • Works closely with Logistics, Procurement, & operations personnel to prepare, execute and follow material orders and deliveries
  • Backup for Logistics Coordinator
  • Helps to maintain inventory traceability and accuracy

Required Skills

 

  • Ability to Identify problems and develop potential solutions
  • Makes decisions within well-defined parameters
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment
  • Warehouse and Inventory Control experience (3+ years), cGMP/Food experience preferred
  • Ability to work with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite, prior experience with SAP (Including MRP module), and Ariba preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Physically capable of lifting materials and product up to 50 pounds

 

Required Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months+ experience in a manufacturing environment
