Job Description

Grace is seeking an ElectroMechanic for our Aiken, SC, site. Duties include:

 

  • Proficient in the installation of electrical motors and motor controls. This includes installation of electrical conduit and wiring, installation of starter and control components, and selection criteria for these components.
  • Troubleshoot motor and motor control circuits.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading electrical elementary wiring diagrams for motor and AC control circuits.
  • Troubleshoot and repair, as necessary, simple AC control circuits, HVAC systems, natural gas or fuel oil burner control circuits, and electrical systems of location mobile equipment.
  • Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair, instrumentation equipment for plant processes.
  • Learn and identify specific locations and types of equipment involved with the site operation.
  • Communicate orally and/or in writing, information on repairs, installations, adjustments, equipment problems, parts/supplies used, labor, down time, etc. for the satisfactory completion of work orders and requisitions. Individuals are expected to inform appropriate operations personnel of repairs or installations to be performed.
  • Tag and Lock-out electrical power supplying equipment to be repaired and ancillary equipment as needed.
  • Pre-inspection of the work area to ensure a proper repair or installation will be carried to completion in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct post-repair inspections to ensure proper repair or installation has been performed and that all safety components are in place and functional.
  • Rig or physically lift, by using proper lifting techniques, into place equipment to be installed or replaced.
  • Perform proper alignments and tensioning of drive components.
  • Demonstrate ability to read and follow blueprints, P&ID drawings, and any other schematics of the maintenance department.
  • Perform welding for repairs or installation while using proper and accepted safe welding techniques.
  • Perform safety and routine maintenance inspections of mobile equipment.

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED, ore equivalent in education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
