Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with other engineers, maintenance and purchasing to coordinate production setups with a focus on scheduling to ensure timely set ups. Our ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who is highly organized, experienced with engineering software, and who understands the need for being customer focused.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with process engineers, maintenance, and purchasing to plan processes in advance of setups.
- Advise the maintenance manager on the size and scope of upcoming set-ups to assist with manpower planning and priority setting.
- Assist as needed with planning of parts for capital and specialty projects not related to set-ups.
- Use mechanical strengths to standardize/improve solids loading for the site.
- Generate auto-cadd drawings for specialty machined parts and work with local machine shops and on-site mechanics to have these items manufactured.
- Backfill for maintenance manager
Physical Requirements and Environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electromechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required
- 2-5 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient with auto-cadd
