Job Description
Grace is hiring a Receptionist to work at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD. This is a f/t position from 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday - Friday.
We're seeking someone who will support a diverse and highly effective team that lives our Company’s values. As a Receptionist, you will be the first impression of Grace to clients, visitors, and guests of the organization. The role will require willingness to perform traditional receptionist tasks at two of our offices on our campus, while also supporting other Administrative and Site Services.
Responsibilities
- Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each persons’ visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
- Provide support to Corporate Admins in Bldg. 25 by request.
- Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; take messages and schedule appointments as needed. Averaging 30-50 calls per day.
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries. Deliver and distribute items as needed.
- Escort guests to conference rooms, or other, upon arrival.
- Performs various administrative and clerical support tasks to support any/functions on campus.
- Supply direct administrative support to the Site Services Department to include but not limited to purchasing, scheduling, external communications, etc.
- Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.
- Supply back-up support and shift coverage to campus administrative assistants as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- H.S School diploma or GED.
- 3 or more years of relevant experience to include basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems and Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must be punctual.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and be able to regularly talk, hear, and communicate with others.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

- Significant level of maturity and the ability to interface with top company executives and senior management.
- Previous success at building strong organizational relationships and fostering teamwork.
