Job Description

  • Conduct KOSHA inspections and company policy/procedure inspections on manufacturing floor.
    • File required regulatory reports related with government
    • Lead the validation of EHS frameworks to ensure 100% compliance with local regulatory requirements
    • Understand regulatory changes and trends and forecast site impact
    • Maintain training certifications on industrial equipment
    • Maintain safety equipment supply and availability
    • Ensure site personal understand and comply with all environmental permits
    • Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies concerning all EHS issues


  • Consult with team members to identify unsafe conditions, acts and procedures, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Actively contribute to the direction and content of site EHS program
    • Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify causes and determine how to prevent reoccurrence.
    • Track corrective actions for all accident and incidents by keeping an action registry up to date.
    • Maintain EHS expertise to provide technical regulatory support to operations team


  • Process safety management compliance
    • Maintain and update air, water and environmental permits. Provide support with all waste programs.
    • Positive outcome of PHA and HAZOP audits, timely issue of PHA report and closure findings
    • Assure compliance with requirements from other regulatory agencies including KGS, Fire marshal and KEMCO among others.
    • PHA’s conducted on schedule with corporate requirements.
    • Assure P&ID updates are completed


  • Self-driven EHS management at site
    • Develop new EHS programs as required
    • Maintain a strong focus on ensuring that 3rd parties on site are working safely per Grace’s standards.
    • Drive improvements in site EHS culture, awareness and accountability
    • Plan and conduct EHS training

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental engineering, chemical engineering, occupational safety & Health or environmental science.
  • EHS field at the chemical or petrochemical company. (7~15 years)
  • Understanding of ISO 14001 and KOSHA guide and lead validation of the required regulatory requirement
  • Plan, implement of regulatory report in compliance with government organization
  • Understanding of corporate level of safety policy and conduct to EHS training
  • Maintain or develop the EHS procedures that are implemented by all plant employees
  • Conduct incident investigation, make corrective actions and extended application to all
  • Certificate related to EHS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent English communication
  • Working experience with American company
  • Understanding and experienced of process safety (PSM, PHA, HAZOP)
  • Leadership to influence employees and drive changes
  • Handling and registration of new chemicals (KREACH)
  • Auditing and auditee experience
  • Self-motivated and organizational skills to be enable planning, execution and implementation in a timely manner
