Job Description

The New Business Development Manager will be responsible for supporting business growth in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and related fine chemicals by identifying and pursuing commercially viable new business opportunities as well as promoting a favorable view of our organization, its products and services.  This position will be based out of Boston, Massachusetts.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Managing existing customer relationships
  • Developing and maintaining broad contacts across the pharmaceutical and custom FCS industries
  • Identifying and developing potential opportunities that leverage our capabilities
  • Monitoring customer and competitor activity and industry trends
  • Sales training; market research, pricing, sales and merchandising activities
  • Sales operations and administration
  • Developing and implementing advertising and publicity campaigns

Required Skills

  • Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Ability to connect in a positive manner with new and existing customers and represent our capabilities across the pharmaceutical and FCS industries

Required Experience

  • 10+ years’ overall professional experience with 5-8 years of new business development, account management or relevant experience within
  • Experience with Regulatory Starting Materials (RSMs) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API's)
  • Experience with identifying appropriate clients and capturing new product opportunities 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in chemistry, engineering or business with relative experience in the cGMP, RSM, API field
  • Prior experience working with or for CDMO organization(s)
  • Experience with Salesforce
