Job Description

  • Works directly in multiple production facility for the site
  • Ability to promote a positive safety culture and compliance with EHS procedures and regulations
  • Knowledge of lean tools including 5S, RCCA, Kaizen and Standard Works to drive productivity and performance improvements
  • Provide training for new employees and managers on how their roles and work connect with Grace Manufacturing Systems (GMS). 
  • Coordinates employee training including new hire orientation, operator qualification, maintenance craft apprentice and specialty training programs, instructor led training, skill enhancement, refresher training, and fulfilling all regulatory and quality system requirements
  • Manages Aspire training program for location
  • Work closely with area Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to design effective curriculum to teach the “why” not just the “how”
  • Leads and implements process improvements
  • Ensures training documentation is current and meets all system requirements
  • Works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality and EHS&S to ensure the smooth functioning of process changes and improvement
  • Designs and delivers instructor led training and develops train the trainer sessions
  • Plans, coordinates, and delivers training and development programs.  Analyzes training outcomes.
  • Other duties/assignments as necessary

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a GMS (lean manufacturing) facility and using GMS tools regularly
  • Maintain focus on Safety and Environmental issues in all activities.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • High level of personal motivation with a drive for ownership and accountability in performance of job responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment (leading and participating) with excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical or Engineering Degree preferred
